b. Simple past

c. Past
continuous
My brother was reading a novel while my sister was
watching the movie.
d. Past perfect
After I had graduated from college, I got married her.
e. Past perfect continuous
She had been skyping with a foreigner since I went
shopping two hours ago.
2. Examples Subject-Verb Agreement
a. Subject- Verb Agreement [subject= bold ; verb=
italic]
Leo rarely eats white bread. (Leo jarang makan roti
putih.)
b. Subject- Verb Agreement [subject= bold ; verb=
italic ; helping verb = underline]
The manager has checked the documents. ( manager telah
mengecek dokument-dokumen tersebut)
c. Subject-Verb Agreement [ subject= bold ; helping
verb =underline]
We were roasting corn. ( kita sedang membakar jagung)
d. Subject-Verb Agreement [subject= bold; linking
verb= italic]
I was a stamp collector. (saya dulu pengoleksi
prangko.)

The team is going on holiday now.

3. Examples of each kind of pronoun
a. Personal pronoun
She prefers to brisk walk to jog.
(Dia lebih memilih jalan cepat daripada joging.)
b. Demonstrative pronoun
This is the most interesting book I have ever read.
(Ini buku paling menarik yang saya pernah baca.)
c. Relative pronoun
The packet, which was sent a week ago, has received.
(Paket tersebut, yang dikirim seminggu lalu, telah
diterima.)
d. Indefinite pronoun
You did everything right.
(Kamu melakukan semuanya dengan benar.)
e. Intensive pronoun
I myself promise not to corrupt the project.
(Saya berjanji tidak akan mengorupsi proyek tersebut.)
